FAQ

Where is your office?

My office is located at the following address:

5076 Wooster Road, Suite 15Cincinnati, OH 45226

Is there parking?

The parking lot is located in front of the building.

What are your hours?

I am in the office on Tuesdays and Thursdays and offer morning, afternoon, and evening appointments.

How long are your sessions?

Each session lasts about 45 – 50 minutes.

How much do you charge?

The initial consultation session is $180. Each session lasting 45-50 minutes for ongoing therapy is $150.

Do you take insurance?

I am not an in-network provider with any insurance companies. That means clients are responsible for paying fees at the time of service.

However, I will provide a receipt of your payments made to me (referred to as a “superbill” by insurance companies) for you to submit to your insurance carrier if you have out-of-network benefits.

To find out whether you have out-of-network coverage, contact your insurance carrier and ask these questions:

  • Do I have out-of-network benefits for mental health?
  • Do I need prior authorization or a referral from an in-network provider to see someone out-of-network?
  • Do I have an out-of-network deductible? If so, what is it, and how much of it has been met?
  • What percentage am I reimbursed for mental health services out-of-network?
  • How do I submit a claim for reimbursement?
How do I set up an appointment?

I can be reached at (513) 289-1092 to set up an appointment. I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation before scheduling to see if we are a good fit.

Are there forms to fill out?

Once the initial appointment is scheduled, I will email you a link to my client portal where you can fill out all the necessary forms before we meet.

What is your cancellation policy?

I appreciate 48 hours’ notice to cancel an appointment. Please cancel at least 24 hours before your scheduled appointment in order to avoid a late cancellation fee of $90.

With whom do you work?

I work with adults, adolescents, and children – ages five and up.

Do your clients receive assignments between sessions?

Depending on the nature of our work together, I may suggest activities between sessions, such as journal writing, specific coping skills, or parenting strategies.

How often do you meet with clients?

I generally meet with clients on a weekly basis, especially starting out. I provide the same appointment time each week for my clients because the consistency of our meetings is important for progress. Progress will be slower if we meet less often.

When you start to feel better, we may decide to meet less often. Other times, it may be beneficial to continue meeting on a weekly basis to support further change and growth. It really depends on your individual needs and goals.

What is therapy like with you?

I provide a warm, caring, and nonjudgmental space for you to share your story and be vulnerable. I don’t prescribe quick fixes or tell you how to lead your life. Instead, I lend understanding to complex and difficult inner experiences so you can begin to see yourself and your life differently. I will also encourage you to take outward steps toward the changes you want for your life.

With children, I am playful, friendly, and accepting. I use child-friendly approaches to help kids express themselves and learn to cope with big emotions.

What is your educational background?

I have a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology (with an emphasis in depth psychology) from Pacifica Graduate Institute (2014) in Carpinteria, CA. I also have a Master of Education in School Psychology from University of Cincinnati (2003), and a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Miami University (1993).

What do you enjoy about being a therapist?

I truly enjoy the opportunity of getting to know each client’s unique story and helping them access their own innate potential for healing and growth.
